Our staff works very hard to create a close-knit, God-loving, community on BU's campus. If you have any questions, about the Christian faith, life, school, work, anything, feel free to contact them. They would love to sit down with you and help you work through any difficult questions you might have.
Lauren Ansong (part-time) firstname.lastname@example.org
Lauren Ansong is starting her third year on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship’s Multi-Ethnic Chapter at Boston University. Originally from Dallas, TX, Lauren attended Boston University as an undergraduate studying Pre-Medical Sociology. It was during her time as an undergraduate that she felt God calling her to plant Umoja Bible Study (collaboration between Umoja Black Student Union and InterVarsity Christian Fellowship) to minister to her friends. With the help and encouragement of her InterVarsity staff, Umoja Bible Study blossomed into a dynamic space where Black students from various Boston schools and programs came together to study scripture together. It was in this space that the Lord grew Lauren’s heart for the campus and called her to campus ministry. Her love for the campus grew as she helped her students see the harvest that is Boston University, empowered them to say yes to God’s beaconing invitation, and equipped them to move forward in the call that the Lord has on their lives. When she’s not on campus, you can find Lauren playing sports, knitting with friends, or exploring Boston.
